Bloomfield Named DGHI Associate Director for Research

Congratulations to Dr. Jerry Bloomfield on his appointment to Associate Director for Research at the Duke Global Health Institute.  Dr. Bloomfield is a 2010 graduate of the Global Health Pathway and a key collaborator in the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital-Duke Cardiovascular Fellowship Program.  As part of the HYC, he has served as a research mentor, clinical preceptor, supervisor, and educational resource for American and Kenyan trainees.  His research interests include the epidemiology of heart failure, cardiovascular risk factors in sub-Saharan Africa and cardiovascular complications in HIV.
