Jim Leng, MD

Global Health Radiation Oncology Resident

Jim Leng, MD is currently a global health implementation fellow in Duke’s Radiation Oncology program, where he currently serves as a chief resident. He earned his undergraduate degree from Pomona College and his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine.

Prior to residency, he worked on global oncology projects in radiotherapy access and breast cancer clinical trials in Ibadan and Lagos, Nigeria, under the mentorship of Dr. Olufunmilayo Olopade. Currently, his research interests include brachytherapy, economic evaluation of radiation treatments, and developing capacity for prospective trials in LMICs. He is currently conducting mentored research in Mwanza, Tanzania under the guidance of Dr. Kristin Schroeder and Dr. Junzo Chino.
