Summary

Dr. Graffagnino is a professor of neurology in the School of Medicine at Duke University and served as the Division Chief for Critical Care and Vascular Neurology.  Dr. Graffagnino first became involved with the Hubert-Yeargan Center in 2014 when he and his wife travelled to Eldoret, Kenya to help build clinical capacity and teach at Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital.  He has mentored Duke trainees on site and hosted Moi trainees and faculty learners at Duke.  Dr. Graffagnino continues to work with a number of colleagues in Neurology, Neurosurgery and Emergency Medicine to apply the concept of system re-engineering to improve outcomes of patients with acute traumatic brain injury in East Africa.
