Sheena Song, DO

Global Ophthalmology Fellow

Dr. Sheena Song is the inaugural Duke Global Ophthalmology Fellow. She completed her General Surgery internship at the University of California San Francisco, followed by Ophthalmology residency at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital. She then went on to complete a Cornea, Cataract and Refractive Surgery Fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine.

The focus of her global ophthalmology fellowship year is to work closely with Duke ophthalmologist Dr. Lloyd Williams to train international ophthalmologists in corneal transplant surgery, participate in cataract surgery outreach camps, and build long-term, sustainable global partnerships. She will spend the year working in Guyana, Indonesia, North Macedonia, Myanmar, South Sudan, Sierra Leone, Gambia, Jamaica, and Mongolia.
