Megan Badejo, MD

Global Health Orthopaedic Surgery Resident

Megan Badejo, MD is the inaugural global health resident in Duke’s Orthopaedic Surgery program. She earned her medical degree from Texas A&M Health Science College of Medicine.

Her work sits at the intersection of pediatrics, oncology, limb salvage, and global surgical equity. Driven by a commitment to expanding musculoskeletal access in low-resource settings, she is currently spearheading research in Uganda focused on optimizing trauma care and task-sharing models for open fracture management. Beyond clinical research, she is deeply engaged in global health leadership, policy, and diplomacy, aiming to build sustainable surgical systems through advocacy, education and international collaboration.
