Kennedy Carpenter, MD
Global Health Neurosurgery Resident
Kennedy Carpenter, MD, is currently a global health resident in Duke’s Neurosurgery program. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California San Diego and her medical degree from the University of Queensland Medical School. She will be enrolling in the Master of Science in Global Health program as part of the pathway.
Dr. Carpenter’s research interests include pediatric neurosurgery – particularly neural tube defects and oncology, management of head trauma and TBI, and neurosurgical training in LMICs. She will be conducting mentored research under the guidance of Dr. Michael Haglund in Mbarara, Uganda.
