Courtney Welch, MD

Global Health Pulmonary & Critical Care Fellow

Courtney Welch, MD is a global health fellow in Duke’s Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program. She earned her medical degree from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. She completed a combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program with a Global Health Track at Indiana University. She is enrolled in the Masters of Science in Global Health program as part of her Global Health Pathway training.

Her research interests include addressing the needs of migrant communities, particularly regarding pulmonary health and critical care; as well as understanding environmental and occupational exposures to lung disease. She will be working in Iguitos, Peru during her research year.
