Catherine Cheney, MD, MSc

Catherine Cheney, MD, is currently a global health resident in Duke’s Internal Medicine program. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, her Masters of Epidemiology from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich, and her medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.

Prior to residency, she worked on global health projects delivering primary care in Himanchal Pradesh, India and public health interventions for viral hepatitis through the WHO in Manila, Philippines. Her current research interests include the epidemiology of colorectal cancer, outcomes after acute GI bleeds, and sustainability in gastroenterology.
